Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 14.5 oz each green beans, drained
  • or 4 cups blanched fresh green beans
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional but delicious
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup French fried onions divided

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Fold in the green beans and half of the fried onions (½ cup).
  4. Spread mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven, sprinkle the remaining fried onions on top.
  7. Return to the oven for 10 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.
  8. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
