Easy Homemade Lasagna

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar 24 oz marinara or pasta sauce
  • 9 lasagna noodles cooked and drained
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain fat. Add marinara sauce and simmer 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread 1 cup of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 noodles, ⅓ of ricotta mixture, ⅓ of mozzarella, and sauce. Repeat layers two more times.
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
  7. Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Rest 10 minutes before slicing.
